Whiskey connoisseurs are no strangers to the prestigious labels that have set a benchmark for exceptional spirits. Among the rare and aged blends that fetch exorbitant prices due to their limited availability, Jacob & Co surprises the industry with the introduction of the Alec Monopoly Blended Malt Scotch Whisky.
Known for its opulent collection of timepieces and exquisite jewelry, the Manhattan-based luxury brand caters to a clientele with a taste for bespoke creations. Founded by Jacob Arabo, a connoisseur of fine scotch, the collaboration with Alex Monopoly was inevitable.
Industry insiders reveal that the Jacob & Co x Alex Monopoly Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a result of a meticulous partnership involving Andrew Rankin from Bowmore and luxury group Constellation X. The Master Blender has expertly crafted each decanter, housing spirits aged 26 years and older.
Matured in first and second-fill American Oak casks previously used for bourbon, the whisky underwent an additional four years of aging in fresh American Oak bourbon barrels to achieve a perfect balance. Tasting notes highlight oak, cream, and pepper nuances culminating in a smooth finish.
Limited to just 2,000 decanters, this exclusive spirit embodies the essence of luxury akin to Jacob & Co’s renowned timepieces. Priced at approximately $2,500, each bottle promises a unique experience. Noteworthy is the auction of the first decanter, hand-painted by the celebrated street artist.
